In a survey of 10,000 households, while 71% say that ENERGY is ‘highly important’ to them, only 35% felt their homes were highly energy efficient, with low monthly energy bills. In fact, energy efficiency showed the most significant feature gap between importance and satisfaction.
90% of households polled said they have taken measures to reduce energy use in the last five years:
- 63% have switched to energy efficient CLF or LED bulbs
- 38% have sealed air leaks
- 34% have replaced inefficient appliances
- 28% have installed a programmable thermostat
